Good to be back with the review of a cafe down the busy Stafford Avenue, Kirulapone. A cafe which has a nice and calm ancestral environment along with pop rock/classical music. Getting inspired by the well known English rock band Beatles, they surely take you back to 1960’s!
Talking about one of the mains we had, Thai style Chicken Waffle Wrap filled with stir fried onions, gherkins served along with fried chicken was one of the best waffle wraps served in Colombo although it needed a bit more of the salty touch.
For the first time we tried Pol Rotti Koththu with chicken curry which was one of the signature dishes they offer served on an omelette. It is a must try if you visit them.
Then comes the seafood rice, a mouthwatering spicy dish served along with a bullseye garnished with spring onion leaves.
The Fried Chicken Popcorn was a delicious side served with potato fries along with ketchup. This dish was too mouth watering which led us to try it out even before capturing the photographs. A must try delight out of the sides offered in the menu.
The Oreo milkshake was truly a treat to put and end to the fabulous meal. The chunks of Oreo dipped inside the creamy milkshake complemented in such a way that it was beyond our expectations.
The Cappuccino and Mochaccino was also a fabulous conclusion towards the heavenly treat that we encountered. The pure caffeine strength inside the Cappuccino and the bitter taste of it gave a rather authentic coffee experience. The Mochaccino on the other hand complemented the caffeine with a sense of chocolate to complement it.
The Hot Chocolate which was fascinatingly served with dipped colorful marshmallows, surely did feed our taste buds by the first look itself. It was well garnished with chocolate sauce and marshmallows along with creamy hot chocolate to feed yourself on a cozy day.
A decent meal can be experienced at around 1000 -1500 LKR.

It is always a delight to visit this amazing spot and to dip into the delightful cuisines they offer.
